Why Summit Oak?

Being great at running a business doesn’t necessarily mean you know what’s happening behind the numbers. That’s what led me to start Summit Oak Business Services.

 Through my firsthand experience with multiple businesses, I’ve seen the difference it makes when owners not only have accurate financials, but understand what those numbers mean and how to use that information to make strategic decisions and support growth. I’ve also seen how easy it is to become so focused on running the business that the financial side doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

 I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and spreadsheets, and my detail-oriented nature makes bookkeeping a natural fit. What I enjoy most, though, is looking beyond the transactions to help business owners better understand the financial side of the businesses they’ve worked so hard to build.

 As a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, I’m committed to ongoing education so I can continue bringing greater knowledge and value to the businesses I serve.

 At Summit Oak, my goal is to provide accurate bookkeeping, meaningful financial insight, and the personal attention that comes from having someone focused on the numbers alongside you—someone who understands your business and helps you turn financial information into something you can actually use.

Outside of the office: a cabin in Blue Ridge, a husband who puts up with my spreadsheets, as much hiking, boating, and reading as I can fit in, and a spoiled bloodhound named Libby who loves being the center of it all.
